"I downloaded Crime Catcher in March of 2001 shortly after it's release. Strange people had just moved into the neighborhood, and I wanted to be able to see what had happened while away at work. About one year after, I was victim of identity theft, and forgery. I lost about US $2000.00 in just a few days. About one week later, I looked more closely at the pictures and saw the image of someone stealing the mail. As the days passed by, I saw pictures revealing more mail being stolen, mostly my neighbors. They too lost money from the bank when their identities were stolen. I gave this info to the police detectives working on the case, and let the camera run everday from then on. Odd behavior in pictures meant I was supposed to email the .jpg shot to the detective. He got over 200 of them before he told me to stop, he had arrested a number of people. One of them lived 2 houses to the West of me at the time my identity was stolen. The pictures were used at the trial. Today, I got the rest of my money back, and the greedy bastard in the pictures is on his way to a US Federal Prison.
